Crytek had generated huge expectations with this game - but I think Crysis clearly falls short by 50% from the bar it had set with Farcry and 90% from the hoopla it had created for Crysis. Maybe Crytek should outsource production given the dismal game design, which makes me feel that Farcry's success was due to Ubisoft's production and not because of Crytek's technical ingenuity.

Organizational strategy apart - following are some key negatives which make Crysis uninspiring
1. if it wasn't for the challenging penultimate boss, there's no honor nor feeling of pride in completing the game
2. started the game at normal difficulty mode - progressed maybe five levels and found the game lacking in challenge - had to restart one level higher - was a complete let down
3. Long drawn maps of no consequence - Crysis gives you the feeling of being non-linear - but whatever the road you choose you end up destroying fully equipped North Korean bases
4. Concept of cover is too simple - all you have to do is hide behind the same large rock and exchange fire - but yeah, atleast it exists
5. Learning curve is non-existent - in the later stages, Koreans are swapped with aliens - and theres no way to know which guns are most effective till you try them out - being a automatic mid-range rifle guy - I had trouble figuring out that shotguns and gauss guns are best suited for these enemies
6. As mentioned above, the penultimate boss was a tough nut (NOMAD becomes Serious Sam) - but there's no method to tackle it - if you ask me how I did it I wont have an answer - probably is was the minigun - I generally don't use such guns because they don't play to my quick reflexes and shooting accuracy
7. Badly designed missions - "Recovery" is a fine example - how was I supposed to know about a room on the ground floor filled with RPGs
8. Its a bug-ridden game - objectives wont update in some cases - happened twice - once in "Recovery" after destroying the tanks and once after I had completely disabled the mothership (ultimate boss)- TAC wasn't locking onto the central core - other than that the game started quitting to the desktop without any error message post the commencement of "Core" mission - felt the pain as I don't save games in between and graphical glitches - transparent/translucent surfaces being rendered in green, only option was to quit and restart the game

Would advise to give this game a miss - there are better ones like MOHAA, MOHPA, CODUO, HL2, FEAR, Prey, STALKER, even Farcry (well that game set the bar too high for Crytek)

I don't know what to do with Warhead - will revisit when I have nothing to play - heard its a five hour game.

You are a nanosuit warrior against the bad KPA and some surprisingly different extra terrestrials. Apart from this being one of the best games, its a great compilation. Both Crysis and Warhead are amazing with their original story. There's not a great array of weapons but still good. The graphics provide a lot of eye candy and the gameplay is fun. If you own a high end gaming rig - you are in for a treat.

Graphics: 10/10.`AI: 7/10. Story: 9/10. Overall: 9/10.

This is the most comprehensive collection of Crysis ever! Had been waiting for my copy for a long time and when I got it, I was over the moon! The graphics are too good and remind one of the first Crytek game Farcry. An excellent game and a must for FPS enthusiasts.

Crysis is the best looking game made for PC ever.

And that is all you need to know for a start. Now comes the part about its amazingly sophisticated and polished sandbox style gameplay mixing FPS and stealth mechanics.

The island where the games take place is an amazingly beautiful place and rendered to perfection with mindblowing visual and physics effects. The player and enemy characters and vehicles are perfectly rendered also.

Altough the storyline is a bit predictable and cliched, this game is a technological marvel and one of those titles that every games worth his or her salt must play. Truly a classic, a gamechanger like Doom, Quake, Half-Life, Portal and so on. So this game is in good company.

Must buy for everyone.
