Description
Adapt. Engage. Dominate!

Take on the fight as the volatile Sergeant “Psycho” Sykes in a new parallel story taking place during the events of Crysis. Psycho’s secret mission will take him to the other side of the island on a ruthless pursuit of a North Korean general hell-bent on obtaining powerful technology. With the versatile powers of his Nanosuit and an arsenal of fully customizable weapons & vehicles at his disposal, Sykes will do whatever it takes to carry out his top-secret objective.

Action on the other side of the island is more intense, the battles are fierce, and the mission protocol is no longer “Adapt to Survive”. As Sergeant Sykes, now you must adapt to dominate the battle. Twin SMG’s blazing, seizing new vehicles, or going stealth, the action and the victory is on your terms.

Features:
  • Pulse-racing new installment from 2007’s PC Game of the Year: Play as Sergeant Sykes and experience a whole new side of the battle. A standard combat mission behind enemy lines becomes critical when you discover your enemies have captured something of vital importance to the ensuing war. It’s down to you to retrieve the cargo, at any cost.
  • More explosive and dynamic minute to minute game play: new customizable weapons, new vehicles, new photorealistic locations to explore, and a fully interactive war zone to dominate.
  • Enhanced human and alien AI: Intelligent enemies, bigger challenges, and all-new ally squad support.
  • Includes Crysis Wars, an expanded new multiplayer experience with new online modes and 21 maps including seven all-new maps to battle it out against other players.
  • Crysis Warhead is a standalone release and does not require ownership of Crysis to play.

Crysis Warhead is supposed to be a parallel story to Crysis 1.

However, as far as the main story goes it is not very tied-in with the events of Crysis 1. Where Crysis 1 was more better paced and a bit slow on the instant action, Crysis Warhead is much more action oriented and a little hastily paced. We play as the memorable Sgt. Sykes or Psycho, out on his own mission. There are many differences between Crysis 1 and Warhead, some of which you may like or may not depending on your taste.

Crysis 1: You were alone for the majority of time, fighting your way through the island.

Crysis Warhead: You are frequently joined by your friends from the nanosuit team, and also accompanied by your friend who is piloting the VTOL.

Crysis 1: More well paced, less constant action.

Crysis Warhead: A little fast paced but with a constant stream of action.

Crysis Warhead also comes with a multiplayer called Crysis Wars, and that is awesome. Unfortunately it isn't alive at the moment, though you can find people playing. All said and done, this is a good game.

Crysis: Warhead is a parallel story to Crysis and follows the game from Psycho's perspective. The campaign is short as compared to the original but the action is more fast paced. Though Crysis: Warhead is better optimized than Crysis, still to run it on full HD with max settings you would need a killer system. Though it still maintains its open environment gameplay, some levels especially towards the end, are linear. Overall a good game and must for Crysis fans.

If you thought Crysis was awesome, then Crysis: Warhead takes it a step further. I played it in short bursts but you realise the game is awesome from the time you take hold of the mouse for the first mission.

    Pros:
    - Awesome graphics
    - Runs smooth on mid-high to high systems
    - optimized compared to crysis

    Cons:
    - Shorter gameplay
    - Story could be better stitched in with the original Crysis
