The gorgeous and entrancing world of 15th century Renaissance Italy is brought to life in the second installment of the Assassin's Creed series. The main protagonist of Assassin's Creed II, Ezio is a much likable character than Assassin's Creed's Altair. The main drive for the story of Assassin's Creed II is Ezio's search for those who betrayed his family and murdered his father and brothers, over a period of 20 years.

Any faults with the previous Assassin's Creed game have been eliminated in this fantastic sequel with more mission variety, different types of armour, weapons and a detailed economy system. Allies such as courtesans, thieves or mercenaries can be recruited to help Ezio complete his missions usually by distracting enemies.

All in all, a complete action adventure game in the truest sense of the word.

This game defines the Assassin's Creed series. The prequel was revolutionary in game play mechanics but lacked in other areas such as story, characters, etc. On the other hand, Assassin's creed 2 shines in all those areas. The game is bright, colourful and feels real. The cities in AC2 actually differ from each other unlike in AC1 where all the cities looked the same.

Also, there is actually a nice and deep story and the character has an interesting background. The best place is definitely Venice, because it is the biggest, most versatile and fun to run around city. There are other improvements such as new weapons - smoke bomb, hidden pistol, poison blades and new swords and daggers. The game play is the same except that Ezio is much faster than Altair from the first game, because Ezio wears shoes whereas Altair wore slippers. Overall, this is a must buy.
